Sacha Carlson (born on October 4, 2003) is an American actor and musician. He portrays Nick in the Netflix series Julie and the Phantoms.
Biography[]
Sacha Carlson is from San Luis Obispo, California. He has one older sister.
Carlson began acting when he was 10 years old.[1] After performing roles in local shows (Tarzan, The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins)[2] with Kelrik Productions, PCPA-Pacific Conservatory Theatre in Santa Maria and what is now San Luis Obispo Repertory Theatre, Carlson was able to get adopted into an agency in Los Angeles in 2014.[3] Carlson went back and forth between San Luis Obispo and Los Angeles for projects and auditions.[1] Carlson has also been in a short film made through Chapman University (The Lost Captain) and took part in a Nickelodeon improv workshop at the Groundlings Theater in Los Angeles.[2]
In 2017, Carlson made his first onscreen appearance as Scut Farkus in Fox’s “A Christmas Story Live.” He also co-starred in two 2018 episodes of the ABC sitcom, American Housewife.[4]
In June 2019, Carlson auditioned to be in Julie and the Phantoms, but for the role of Luke. According to Carlson, he made it to the final group but didn't end up booking the role. In early August, however, Carlson received an email from his agent informing him that Kenny Ortega wanted Carlson to do a callback for the role of Nick.[5]
Music[]
Carlson has a talent and passion for the electric guitar and songwriting. In November 2020, Carlson won 2nd place in the Youth category of the New Times Music Awards for his original song, "Forever More."[6] Carlson has also stated the existence of more original music that hasn't been performed due to the COVID-19 pandemic; one of them is entitled,"My Baby, My Sweet Darling".
